Hidden Value Advisory
Your firm's old files may be worth real money to AI companies.
We'll tell you, free, whether you qualify.
Who it's for
Years of records sitting in storage
For US law firms with 10 or more people, and accounting, financial and investment firms with 30 or more full-time employees, that have years of records sitting in storage.

What you get
Everything by email, on your schedule, or a 30-minute call if you prefer. We explain how data licensing works in plain English, check whether your firm meets a buyer's criteria, and help you apply if it does.
What you keep
Your original files. The buyer licenses a copy, so nothing leaves your firm's ownership.
What it costs you
Nothing. The buyer pays Hidden Value Advisory a referral fee, not your firm, and we tell you that up front.
How it works
Three steps
- 1
Email us
Email us (or book a call if you prefer). We learn what kinds of records you have and how many years they cover.
- 2
Apply
If you're a fit, we help you apply directly to the buyer.
- 3
Review and offer
The buyer reviews your firm and, if approved, makes you an offer. You decide whether to accept.

Questions firms ask
Frequently asked questions
Is our conversation with you confidential?
Yes. What you share with us about your firm and its records is used only to check whether you may qualify and to help you apply. We don't publish it or share it with anyone without your permission. Before anything is shared with a buyer, the confidentiality terms are covered in the agreement, and you review them first.
How does this fit with attorney-client privilege and our duties to clients?
That's the first question to settle, and it's yours to decide. Law firms have professional duties around privilege and client confidentiality, and accounting, financial and investment firms have their own confidentiality obligations. How a buyer handles privileged or confidential material is covered in the agreement before anything is shared. We recommend your ethics counsel or compliance team review those terms before you accept any offer.
What kinds of data qualify?
Typically several years of records kept mostly in English and stored digitally (or easy to digitize): emails, case or client files, memos, templates and internal procedures. The buyer sets the final criteria. Email us what you have and we'll tell you honestly whether it looks like a fit, usually within a day or two.
Is our clients' personal information shared? How is it de-identified?
How client and personal information is removed or de-identified, and what the buyer may and may not receive, is set out in the agreement before anything is shared. We don't want to promise a specific method here. Read those terms closely and have your counsel review them. If they don't meet your obligations, you don't have to go ahead.
What does it cost our firm?
Nothing. The buyer pays Hidden Value Advisory a referral fee, not your firm, and we tell you that up front.
Who owns the data?
You keep your original files. The buyer licenses a copy, so nothing leaves your firm's ownership. The exact license terms are in the agreement you review before anything is shared.
How much of our time will this take?
Very little to start. Everything can happen by email on your schedule, or on a 30-minute call if you prefer. We learn what kinds of records you have and how many years they cover, and if you're a fit we help you apply directly to the buyer.
Can we say no or back out?
Yes. Checking whether you qualify commits you to nothing. If you're approved, the buyer makes you an offer and you decide whether to accept. What happens after you accept is covered in the agreement, so review it before you sign.
